For patients without insurance or whose insurance we do not accept, we offer private-pay options to ensure access to care. Before any services are provided, we will clearly explain the associated costs. No treatment will be performed without the patient’s or their family’s approval, ensuring full transparency and peace of mind.
In most cases, no referral is required to receive care from OnSite Dermatology.
However, certain insurance plans may require a referral from your primary care provider to see a specialist. In this case, we will take care of this process for you.
Most appointments typically last between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the type of care provided. Routine skin exams and minor treatments are often completed quickly, while procedures like biopsies or lesion removal may take a little longer. Our team strives to provide thorough and comprehensive care.
Absolutely! Family members or caregivers are welcome to attend appointments. This can be especially helpful for residents in assisted living or memory care communities, providing added comfort and ensuring important health information is communicated effectively. We encourage families to coordinate with the community in advance to make arrangements.
If additional treatment is needed, such as Mohs surgery, we will coordinate a referral to a local dermatologist or Mohs surgeon of your choice. To ensure continuity of care, we’ll provide the practitioner with all biopsy results, pathology reports, and relevant medical records in advance.
